Mud Bath’s and Postobon

Let’s be honest, would you bathe in mud? It may sound adventurous and all when you’re traveling the world and the bath is at the top of a volcano; but what I had imagined did not become my reality. While visiting Cartagena, Colombia I took an hour drive to hike a volcano; and be treated with Colombia’s finest mud baths. I figured this bath would be in a shaded area with a huge pool allowing plenty of space for each tourist; but I was in for an awakening. Long story short, it was a tiny volcano, with a tiny pool filled with hot mud. I was filled with so much excitement while hiking to the top; and once I reached my destination I noticed it was nothing like I had imagined. Talk about a sad adventurous moment lol. But finding the good in a not-so-lavishing moment is all that mattered at that point. My friend Tabitha and I decided to snap a few pictures, seize the moment and leave the volcano for lunch. The view was beautiful hands down which made the hike worthwhile. Once we reached the bottom we crossed paths with a small family who was willing to wash your body for $20…I guess you can’t knock a hustler lol. So I ask, would you bathe in mud?
